The parameters of the spark plug are particularly important for the ignition performance. The times of the small square spark plug used have passed. From the market feedback information obtained by our company, it can be seen that there is no enough attention to the application and installation of the spark plug for the maintenance of the car, and the engine jitter and black smoke after the replacement of the fire plug is often occurred. 1. The heat value of the spark plug
The heat value of spark plug is commonly expressed by the size of the spark plug skirt (the location of the center electrode of the package), which is usually expressed in Arabia figures. For example, the number 8 in BOSCH's numbered F8DCOR is to specify that the "8" does not mean 8 degrees, but refers to a temperature range expressed by "8".
As gasoline can not be completely burned in the engine, a small amount of carbon powder will be deposited. These carbon powders will be deposited on the central electrodes and side electrodes of the spark plug, which will accumulate to a certain extent the normal work of the spark plug. But if the temperature of the spark plug is high enough, the carbon powder will burn itself, and the temperature range of this carbon powder is called the spark plug for the engine.
The size of the spark plug is determined by its structure. The skirt of the front is a very important noun for the spark plug. The area of the contact with the air determines the heat value of the spark plug.
As the above picture shows, the greater the area of the skirt and the air contact, the better the spark plug heat, the lower the spark plug temperature, the smaller the spark plug heat, the smaller the contact area between the skirt and the air, the worse the spark plug heat, the higher the spark plug itself, that is the spark. The greater the calorific value of the plug.
It should be noted that the way of the champion and BOSCH spark plug is that the smaller the number, the higher the calorific value. NGK and Denso indicate that the bigger the number is, the higher the calorific value.
Two, the resistance of spark plug
The spark plug resistor is designed to reduce the magnetic interference generated by the high voltage of the ignition circuit.
The general spark plug resistors are divided into zero resistance (for carburetor engines), one thousand ohm resistors (low EFI models), and five thousand ohm resistors (EFI Engines).
Most of the models now use five thousand ohm resistance spark plugs, and very few one thousand ohm resistance models (old Jetta, Santana Superman, etc.) are used. Among them, when the spark plug with the same specifications and different grades is interchanged, the small resistance with large resistance can be used instead of the small resistance instead of the large resistance. No matter what brand is platinum and iridium spark plug must be a big resistance.
In the spark plug number, resistance is usually expressed by "R". At present, the one thousand largest ohmic spark plug market is BOSCH spark plug. The resistance code of BOSCH spark plug is as follows: "R" indicates one thousand ohmic resistance after the digital calorific value, indicating the resistance of five thousand ohms before the calorific value. For example, F8DCOR is one thousand ohmic resistance and FR8DPX is five thousand ohm resistance.
Three, spark plug electrode gap
Spark plug electrode gap refers to the distance between the side electrode and the central electrode.
The gap between automotive spark plugs varies from 0.6mm to 1.6mm, depending on the gap between different engine requirements, which is determined by the high voltage redundancy generated by the ignition coil.
In general, the larger the gap, the longer the arc, the greater the ignition energy. But if it is beyond the redundancy of the ignition coil, it can not improve the ignition energy of the spark plug, but on the contrary, the spark plug is lost because of the lack of voltage. At the same time, the ignition coil is overloaded for a long time, resulting in excessive load of the ignition coil, which makes the internal short circuit or circuit breakage damage. Most of the ignition coil design life is more than 300 thousand kilometers, the incorrect use of spark plugs, making it retire ahead of time, is the main reason for many repair plants to return the ignition coil.
However, the gap between the spark plugs is too small and is not good, and the high voltage power can not be fully placed. The heat of the mixed gas is not enough to cause incomplete combustion, so that the engine's power can not be fully released. In normal circumstances, the life of the spark plug is determined by the gap between the spark plugs. The oversize of the breakdown voltage is too large for a large gap, and the ignition coil voltage is not enough. Instead, the ignition will be inadequate.

From the experience of our company for many years, the economic life of the general single electrode spark plug is about 40 thousand kilometers (no spark plug material, especially the platinum and iridium spark plug on the market.
